PURPOSE
-
To create a loving, compassionate supportive environment filled with kindness and acceptance.
-
We all have stories in our bodies that need to be released.
-
With the support of somatic work such as yoga and TRE, those stories can unfold in an appropriate environment with professional and loving guidance.

INTENTIONS
Trauma has many faces. It touches millions of lives. Be it living through a global pandemic, childhood abuse, grief from the death of a loved one, vehicle accidents, medical procedures, or academic challenges, trauma doesn’t discriminate—it can affect anyone.
Movement for Emotional Healing is a unique combination of yoga, TRE, meditation, and breathwork in a serene environment, where those who are dealing with trauma can begin to progress toward a richer and more meaningful life.
Trauma can cause us to become disengaged or not feel safe in our bodies. Movement for Emotional Healing will restore the connection, making your body a safe place. We will work toward wholeness with a loving, nurturing, compassionate, non-judgmental, and confidential approach. You will come to understand your emotions through a series of organic movements known to release trauma in the body. We tailor a plan to your level and support you in regaining autonomy over your body. Both private and small group sessions are available.
Once you begin Movement for Emotional Healing, you will embark on a nurturing journey connecting you with a loving community who will validate and embrace your experiences, allowing you to progress toward becoming your best self.
Trauma, stress and tension lives deep within the tisssues of our bodies. Too often we don’t understand the full impact it has on a physical level. Trauma can get stuck in a part of your body, keeping you from moving forward with your physical and emotional wellbeing. Movement for Emotional Healing will help free your body, regulate your emotions, release tension, and
create a new sense of awareness.
MY JOURNEY

Growing up, I was an extremely sensitive child with deep compassion for others. In a sense, I was always looking out for the underdog because I felt deep down, I was one, too. It took me some time to figure out how my compassion could benefit others, but once I did, I have been on a mission of compassionate healing and I haven’t looked back. My way of helping the underdog has changed its shape many times, but my core value of supporting those who need something a little different than what mainstream society has to offer still holds true.

After growing disillusioned by the corporate world not filling my soul and my dharma, I went to graduate school to receive a Master of Arts in Teaching as a special education teacher. I worked in public schools for many years before deciding to stay home to raise my kids while consulting and advocating for those in need. My introduction to yoga came shortly after the birth of my second child and I had no idea what an incredible journey it would be. On a quest to never stop learning, I became an ADHD coach in order to further understand and support those whose minds diverge from the standard. As I continued advocating for both my children and others in need, I eventually went back to teaching.

Through a series of impactful events, I decided to become a yoga teacher. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Because of my own experience with trauma, I knew that I wanted to specialize in trauma-informed yoga and somatic work to help my students release those stories that are holding them back from achieving their full potential.

A bottom-up approach to recovery, along with my deep compassion has been tremendously impactful to my healing journey as well as to those of my clients. I see the light in each individual and want to help each student reclaim that light within themselves.

With gratitude,
